Volunteer

Community Support is needed!

We have multiple different volunteer opportunities! In order to match your skills, talents, and interests with a unique volunteer position, please complete the volunteer interest form.

Here are a few examples of volunteer opportunities:

  • Tutoring
  • Mentoring
  • Recreation
  • Volunteer at events
  • Respite
  • Household maintenance and chores

Volunteers, please understand: Because of the trauma frequently experienced by the children before they arrive at The Shepherd’s Home, we require volunteers in direct contact with children to commit to regular and consistent hours for a minimum of 6 months. This consistency provides a sense of stability and maintains a familiar, homelike atmosphere.

If you would like to volunteer but cannot commit to the consistency required to be in direct contact with the children in the home, we could still use your help with the Tutor Mobile, helping at fundraising events, and cleaning or cooking for the home. We appreciate you and your willingness to serve!

We appreciate you and your willingness to serve!
