Shepherd's Home TLC Campaign

The Shepherd’s Home needs some TLC!

Why a Capital Campaign?

Shepherd’s Home has welcomed countless children for over twenty-five years through our doors to a safe and loving home. Over the years, we have gathered around our table for meals, played 4-square and basketball outside, celebrated birthdays and holidays, and watched movies together.

Like many homes, weathering and general wear and tear over the years has happened. The siding and the windows on Shepherd’s Home need to be replaced to continue offering the children who come to Shepherd’s Home a safe and warm place to rest. By navigating through the pictures above, you can see the current state of the siding. Our windows are the original windows and need replaced as well.

Through a generous grant, we have started a Capital Campaign fund for these repairs that we anticipate will happen in the summer of 2025. This is a lofty goal. However, we have been able to secure a matching grant which leaves us in need of the remaining $28,050 through individual donations.

It was with much prayer and discussion with our Board of Directors that we decided to start this Capital Campaign. We are trusting God to bring the funds in to make the much needed repairs on Shepherd’s Home. In the words of our sweet founder, Dottie, “It’s His home!”

Tax Credit Information

We deeply appreciate and need your support throughout the year. The Shepherd’s Home is a private, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible. We are happy to provide you with a receipt for your donation.

Donations to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations can offer considerable financial incentives for giving. In addition to your tax deduction, as a donor to the Shepherd’s Home or the Shepherd’s Home Foundation, you may now also receive an additional tax credit on your Idaho State income tax return. Supporting the Shepherd’s Home and our Foundation makes sense, financially and compassionately. We work to heal the effects of child abuse, prevent future abuse and provide support for area families in crisis. Now you can help us break the cycle of child abuse while gaining a tax advantage under Idaho Code 63-3029(c).

Please consult your tax or legal adviser for more information.
